ReplyDeleteYesterday (today) was brutal travel day. Finally figured out data roaming and wifi this evening so now you'll see lots of posts tomorrow (today) from the sunshine sisters. Its 1030 pm and i am wide awake, they've both been sleeping for hours. feels like afternoon to me and time for dinner. took ambien with zero effect so now we are all off sync and i normally sleep half the amount carol does in a night when we are home. #hopeless i'm typing this one handed leaning under the bed to the symphony of their snoring so i don't dare disturb things. I've learned in England that not many Americans or English people are here - at least at tourist places. lots of European tourists and the service people are middle-eastern i think. Weather is nice(ish). 50s, definitely cloudy and always some kind of mist falling. Hotel is nicer and larger than i expected. i think the room is overheated so we have windows open. during our quest to pick up our tour bus tickets for tomorrow (monday), we saw the Thames River, big ferris wheel thingy, parliament buildings, Westminster abbey, set my watch to Big Ben, saw trafalgar square, and a glimpse of buckingham palace, ate Fish and Chips - bangers and mash, and had a luke warm-but tasty beer at a tavern called The Red Lion under the shadow of Big Ben (if there was a sun).
ReplyDeleteWe've sure heard about the terrible weather at home and hope everyone is safe. There has been flooding here in northern areas of uk but shouldn't affect our trip until next week. This typing style has killed a couple hours so its already tomorrow.so I've only got about 9 more hours to lay here peeplessly so i don't get yelled at.#nochance hate to spoil it for yall but the cowboys lost again......
Love the updates
